Climate Change - Bremner, Bird and Fortune

I live in the southern United States. Even thought I did not understand everything he was talking about in the video clip...I still got the point and yes, it was funny.

Climate change: We use different governmental terminology here...to describe essentially the same thing.

Totally off the subject: I don't watch "the tele" very often. Usually I'm too busy working, Blogging, trying to make a difference, trying to add my drop to the deluge to save the planet, the people and creatures on it...to engross myself in mindless subject matter (T.V.).

However, the other night, I accidentally stumbled upon a BBC network on my satellite T.V. I found it hysterical and extremely interesting.

It seems that US T.V. and British T.V mirror each other in many ways. We both have the series on "Trading Rooms" or "Trading Spaces". (I think they started over there and we adopted them and ran with it, too).

In watching the programs, I found that Brits...and I hope that is not an insult, if so, indulge me because I don't know better...have such a different sense of humor and a different "reaction" to events than we do.

For example, in the show where two neighbors swap homes and madly redecorate the space for each other...upon exchanging the finished product, here in the US...it's met with wild excitement!

"Oh..my...Gawd...woo-hoo, this is amazing..." A lot of jumping up and down, running about, screaming and crying at the marvel just created.

I laughed so hard when I watched the British version of the same thing...I'm laughing now trying to recount it!

The rooms were unveiled. TOTALLY REDONE...amazing creativity, dramatic colors, furniture and design...the response?

"Ooooh...well, this is NOT what we were hoping for". Very matter of fact and very...not amused by the choices. The reaction was as if someone had just unveiled a piece of...pooh.

Oh, ya' had to be there. It was so funny. Now I'm hooked on British T.V.! See what you started!

I did watch an exceptional version of Robin Hood. It was like a part of a series or something, maybe? It was great! Phenomenal humor. Very well written. Attractive actors...none of whom I knew but they must be pretty hot commodities over there judging by their looks and charisma.

The reason I watched for so long is because this version of Robin Hood managed to incorporate real, true to life today, brilliant analogies in the theme of the show.

In the episode I watched:
1.Little John had a paranoid panic attack
2.Robin Hood had sympathy for and helped a foreign Soldier of war suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
3.The Merry Men saved a Muslim Prince who became hostage to the "Sheriff" because they realized he was not evil, rather he came to try to bring a peace offering...
4.They dispelled magical, superstitious, religious non-sense teachings showing that these only have power over you IF you let them...all in one show. WoW.

I would be interested in seeing some more of this Robin Hood...if you can manage to find the clips of that as well.
