According to a story published today in Nature, the Japanese public's insatiable appetite for "infotainment" coupled with the outsourcing of the creation of TV shows to independent production houses may have encouraged Japan's most popular science show to fake results, overdub interviews with researchers and mislead viewers.
After an outcry from the Japanese media, the company has cancelled the series and is reviewing all 520 episodes....
